WFST membership embraces a wide diversity of institutes and organisations that are all active in carrying out or promoting industrial research and technology. WFST’s constitution recognises three types of membership:
- Technical membership:
Organizations are actively engaged in industrial and technological research and development.
- Sustaining membership:
Organisations that are active in encouraging and promoting technological research and assisting the Association with financial support or by otherwise advancing its aims.
- Sustaining (company) membership:
Profit companies from industry to promote strong linkages with industry and whose purposes are not research and development. This membership is open to companies with an annual subscription of USD 2, 500
Furthermore, WFST collaborates with several institutes and organisations including agencies of the United Nations system, intergovernmental and non-governmental bodies, private industry and academia.
